Different proponents of PhD scholarships, depending on the source of funding. In fact, only state and non-state universities will be able to apply for funding to the PON Research and Innovation 2014-2020 resources, recognized by the Ministry of University and Research, with administrative and operational headquarters in the less developed regions (Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily) and in transition regions (Abruzzo, Molise, Sardinia), whose doctoral courses are already accredited, at the date of submission of the application, pursuant to Ministerial Decree no. 45 of February 8, 2013 of the Minister of University and Research “Regulations containing the procedures for accreditation of doctoral offices and courses and criteria for the establishment of doctoral courses by accredited bodies”.
Instead, they can access the resources of the Transitional Plan “Research and Innovation 2015-2017” , concerning issues related to the National Strategy for the internal areas, only the state and private universities recognized by the Ministry of University and Research and with administrative headquarters operating in the regions of Southern Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily) and in the regions of the Center-North (Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Tuscany , Trentino-Alto Adige, Umbria, Valle d’Aosta and Veneto) whose doctoral courses have already been accredited, at the date of submission of the application, pursuant to Ministerial Decree no. 45 of 8 February 2013 of the Minister of University and Research.
Which grants are funded
The funding of PhD scholarships is envisaged, which may concern both disciplinary and thematic areas consistent with the development trajectories identified by the National Strategy for Smart Specialization 2014-2020 and thematic areas relating to the National Strategy for internal areas. The scholarships will last three years, for attendance starting from the 2020-2021 academic year.
Only graduates usefully classified in the single ranking for admission to PhD courses for the academic year 2020-2021, cycle XXXVI, can be recipients of PhD scholarships . In the event that the ranking is divided by curricula, the criterion of scientific relevance will also be taken into account in the assignment of the PhD scholarships.
